“Never, never, never give up.” Winston Churchill
Have you ever been so fed up with someone or something that you felt like giving up? Life generally isn’t easy. Thus most people will one day find themselves faced with a situation that feels too difficult to overcome. If you are currently in a position that makes you feel like quitting, then this article is for you.
No Regrets. Why shouldn’t you simply give up when things get a little difficult? Well, there are several reasons why you shouldn’t just quit when things get hard. One of those reasons concerns regrets. If you give in and do not accomplish your goal, you will only regret it later on in life. Would you rather regret things you have done in life, or repent the times when you failed to act or threw in the towel? If you regret past actions, at least you can say you tried. The same cannot be said of things, people or situations that you gave up on.
A Little Extra Determination. When you give up, you have to ask yourself what it would have taken in order to actually succeed. Perhaps success will only require a little more effort from you, but you will never know if you simply give in and quit trying. If you feel determined and force yourself to go that extra mile, perhaps you will reach your goal in the end.
No Such Thing As Can’t. Often people give up after telling themselves that they can’t do something. You should never let anybody tell you that you can’t do something, including yourself. The truth is that you can do anything you set out to do, provided you want it enough. If you don’t manage to reach your objectives in life, it’s only because you didn’t want success enough. If other people can reach their aims in life, you can too.
Your Best Shot. If you refuse to give in and choose to keep trying instead, what is the worst thing that can happen? The worst thing that can happen is that you fail to accomplish your objective. Millions of people all over the world have tried to do something and failed. Thus if you fail, you will not be alone. People have been failing at tasks for thousands of years. Unless the world comes to a sudden end, people will continue to fail for thousands of years to come. The truth is that failing can actually help you learn how to succeed when you try again. If you fail knowing you put in a strong effort and refused to give in, at least you can say you tried to give it your very best shot.If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment or subscribing to the RSS feed to have future articles delivered to your feed reader.
